ECP (Early Childhood Professions)

General Information:
2 credit course, students explore careers in Early Childhood Education. Includes an internship at an area elementary schools. This class may substitute for P.E.

ECP Facts:
Elementary Internship with kindergarten through third grade.
Focus on teaching children ages zero through ten years of age.
Lesson on how to be effective in working with young children and creating a stimulating environment for them.
Field trip include: NAC, Lakeshore Learning Center, a Montessori school, SAC, Magik Children's Theatre, and a children's hospital.
Class includes development of a Professional Portfolio.
