John Jay Forensic League
Speech and Debate

General Information: The John Jay Forensic League is a member of the National Forensic League, the Texas Forensic Association, and participates in events sanctioned by the University Interscholastic League. Events include Lincoln-Douglas Debate, Cross-Examination Debate, Extemporaneous Speaking, Student Congress, Duet Acting, Humorous and Dramatic Interpretation, Prose, Poetry, and Original Oratory. All are welcome to join and most members take Debate I-IV or Oral Interpretation I-IV as a class with Mr. Ruiz.

Meeting Time/Location: Practices are scheduled every Wednesday and Thursday after-school in Room B107. Competitions are held throughout the year and are usually on Friday and Saturday.
