Purpose: The John Jay Drama Club advocates the acknowledgment of educational theatre's integral role in the extension of an individual's creative and intellectual horizons. By fostering an environment in which the discipline can prosper, the club instills an appreciation of theatre, of cultural phenomenon, and as a chronicle of human history. Who can be a member: Membership is by invitation only to current drama club members who have earned a minimum of 10 points while working on various drama club activities such as any fundraisers or working on any aspect of a production (play). Every activity is assigned a designated number of points. Once a drama club member has earned 10 points, the current Thespians vote to invite the drama club member to join Thespian Society. Upon acceptance of the invitation, a period of induction will follow with the official induction ceremony being held in late April. Current dues for new Thespians is $27.00. Meeting times: Every other Friday (4:15-4:30 p.m.) in C105 (Blackbox Theatre) - same weeks as Drama Club Major events: Renaissance Festival (annual trip) in
