The Health and Human Services Commission
provides leadership and direction, and fosters the spirit of innovation
needed to achieve an efficient and effective health and human services
system for Texans.
To improve the quality and efficiency of
public and private services and supports for Texans with mental illnesses
and with mental retardation so that they can increase their opportunities
and abilities to lead lives of dignity and independence
The ARC has provided San Antonio and surrounding
areas with a variety of programs that work toward achieving the mission
of enhancing the quality of life for persons with mental retardation
or other developmental disabilities.
Children's Association for Maximum Potential
(CAMP) is a non-profit corporation established in 1979 to provide
a wide range of recreational, rehabilitative, educational, and respite
services for children with developmental disabilities and their families.
