History Fair:

Each year all John Jay students in social studies classes are encourage to participate in the annual History Day celebration known as History Fair. Students create a project in one of several categories and compete with other John Jay students for the priveledge of advancing to the District level of competition. Those who place 1st, 2nd, or 3rd at the District level advance to the Regional competition. From the Regional level students can participate in the State History Fair and then the National Fair.

The History Fair is a powerful learning tool. Students become the expert on their topic of choice and learn how to present their knowledge through media, performance, or the written word.
