Student Registration Information
The following documents are required for your registration to go smoothly:
1. Proof of residence - A current utility bill (water, electric, phone bill, lease or contract) from the place where the student resides.
2. Student's birth certificate
3. Student's Social Security card
4. An updated immunization record (this is must).
5. A recent report card
6. Power of attorney (if one is needed) or if you are residing with someone else. Call the school at 397-2100 for more information.
7. A Texas Driver's License/ID will be used for proof of identification.
Hours for registration are Monday through Friday from 9:00 - 2:00. After the school year begins, a student(s) must be in uniform to be registered. If the parent or guardian has not met with a counselor, then they must accompany the child at registration.
Dress Code Procedures
Anson Jones is a "Standardized Dress" Campus
Girls - Black Twill pants, skirt or jumper with solid white Polo style shirt
Khaki Twill pants with a solid white or black Polo style shirt
Boys - Black pants with solid white Polo style shirt with three buttons
Khaki pants with a solid white or black polo style shirt
Per Northside Policy- Shorts are not permitted in middle or high schools. Pants must be full length at Anson Jone Middle School.
Shoes - Flip flops and steeled toed shoes are not permitted.
Jackets - Must be solid white, black, gold or grey
No logos or designs are allowed on shirt, pants or jacket.
Pants/skirt/jumper must be twill cotton material. Denim fabric is not allowed
Suitable styled clothing that meets our dress code is available at Walmart, Target, Jc Penny, and Academy
Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Teachers are on duty at 7:55 a.m.
Students being dropped off will do so in the teacher parking lot by the large Oak tree. For safety reasons, only buses are allowed in the bus loop. All students will enter through the main entrance of the building and report to their grade level locations the first day of school.
Dismissal Procedures - Grade levels are released at separate times
6th Grade - 3:35 p.m.
7th Grade - 3:37 p.m.
8th Grade - 3:40 p.m.
Bus students and students who live in the communities North of Jones (towards Brownleaf Rd.) exit through the doors by the Gym.
Students who live in the communities South of Jones (towards Blue Oak Rd.) exit the Main Office doors.
Parent pick up zone is located in the main parking lot. Students will wait near the Oak trees.
All students not involved in afterschool activities are to be off campus by 4:00 p.m. No teachers are on-duty after 4:00 p.m.
