There are 2 mediators and 2 or more disputants
trying to work out the problem in a private room.

A peer is someone that you are equal to.
In school your peers would be your fellow
classmates.

WHAT IS MEDIATION?
Mediation is an intervention between conflicting
parties to promote reconciliation, settlement,
compromise, and understanding.

WHAT IS A MEDIATOR?
A mediator is a person that is in charge of the
peer mediation session. Mediators are the ones who
are there to listen to your disputes. Mediators don't
take sides and tell you what to do. They are just there
to communicate your thoughts to others.

CAN ANYONE SIGN UP FOR PEER MEDIATION?
Yes. Anyone in 6th, 7th, or 8th grade can sign
up for peer mediation. Remember, you and another
peer have to be in some sort of conflict.

IMAGINE......

All this can be yours, without any extra
paper work or headaches.

All you have to do is make the peer mediation referral forms
easily accessible to your students, show them where they are
and encourage them to use them.
