Gifted and Talented
Linda Bodenheimer & Suzanne Wehmeyer are the Gifted and Talented Specialists at Jack C. Jordan Middle School. In middle school, the gifted program is called the TIPS the TIPS
program, which stands for "Talents and Instruction Promoting Scholarship."
In order to meet the needs of gifted students, NISD works to identify children who demonstrate high intellectual ability, creativity, and task commitment. Only a small number of students, about 5% of the
population in the NISD, will qualify. Assessment and selection of students for the Gifted and Talented Program is an ongoing process, however, specific assessment dates are scheduled.
