Jordan Middle
School
Jordan Middle School opened
its doors in the fall of 1993. It was named after former Northside District
Superintendent Jack
C. Jordan, a long-time
dedicated educator. The school is a state-of-the-art facility with the latest
in educational technology. It offers an interdisciplinary approach to curriculum
delivered in a warm friendly environment. Through academic teaming, individualized
attention is afforded each student in the large school (63 classrooms). The
split level, 3-story building includes grade level wings with science, computer,
and reading labs. Classroom wings extend from the Library, where computer links
connect students to data bases worldwide.
The Fine Arts Complex features
band, choral, orchestra, and ensemble rooms. Two gymnasiums, tennis courts and
4 playing fields complete the Jordan campus, which is located adjacent to Evers
Elementary School on a 32-acre wooded hillside in Tara Subdivision of northwest
San Antonio.
