Moving on to Middle School!

Volunteers needed!

Back to library

Hello and welcome to what we hope is the most wonderful, relaxed, and pleasant place in the school--the LIBRARY!  We try very hard to meet the school and Knowlton community needs.  Here are just a few of the areas we hope will find interesting, thought-provoking, helpful, or just plain fun!  Let's all become life-long learners.
  •   a computerized "card catalog" with 9 student computers (which may be used by prior parental permission for internet research and for accelerated reader tests)
  • easy-fiction section (from picture books up to a fifth grade reading level)
  • fiction section (with humorous novels, beginner chapter books, and historical novels, mysteries, adventure)
  • non-fiction of many subjects
  • reference books such as encyclopedias or dictionaries for use while in the library
  • a parent library (with helpful hints on parenting and problem solving for many disabilities)
Students in grades PPCD and Pre-K check out books which are then kept in the teacher's classroom.  Once a week students have a storytime.
Students in grades K-2 may check out one book at a time and usually visit the library at least once a week for storytime and check-out.
Students in grades 3-5 may check out two books at a time and may visit the library as needed for research, study, or check-out.

Come see us!  We'd love to show you our new books or help you research in any of our books!  Don't delay; READ today!
