What's Happening in Kindergarten ?

Your Kindergartners are really enjoying music!
We are exploring the difference between the speaking voice and singing voice. (This is not always easy to differentiate) And they are slowly finding their own singing voice.

We sing simple songs that are common in the scope of our heritage and community. The songs are taught by echoing the teacher's or a child's unaccompanied voice.
Just like talking, children learn how to sing by hearing a singing voice.
Here are some songs we are already learning to sing:
    “Hello Song”
"Mortimer's Song"
(check out the book Mortimer by Robert Munsch)
    "Johnny Works With One Hammer"
 “Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”
   “Frog in the Meadow”
"I’m a little Teapot"
"Here We Go 'Round the Mulberry Bush"
 “Charlie Over the Ocean”
     “Eensy weensy Spider”
