What's Happening in Kindergarten ?
- Your Kindergartners are really enjoying music!
- We are exploring the difference between the speaking voice and singing voice. (This is not always easy to differentiate) And they are slowly finding their own singing voice.
- We sing simple songs that are common in the scope of our heritage and community. The songs are taught by echoing the teacher's or a child's unaccompanied voice.
- Just like talking, children learn how to sing by hearing a singing voice.
- Here are some songs we are already learning to sing:
“Hello Song”- "Mortimer's Song"
- (check out the book Mortimer by Robert Munsch)
"Johnny Works With One Hammer"
“Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star”
“Frog in the Meadow”
"I’m a little Teapot"
"Here We Go 'Round the Mulberry Bush"
“Charlie Over the Ocean”
“Eensy weensy Spider”
