Borrowing Practices

Students in the Second through Fifth grades are allowed to check out two books at a time for a two week period. A book may be renewed as many times as desired unless it is a title in high demand. Students in PreK through First grade are allowed to check out one book for a two week period. PreK and Kinder students must keep their Library books at school. First grade students keep their books at school until January when they may then begin taking their books home. Second through Fifth grade are allowed to take their library books home all year.
Parents, your child has been instructed to keep library books taken home in a safe place away from weather, pets, and younger children. Please help your child find a safe place to keep the books brougt home.
We do not charge late fees for overdue books, but students must pay for lost or damaged books. If a lost book is paid for and later found and returned in good condition, the money will be refunded.
Other schools in NISD may borrow any of our resources, but these items are for teacher use only. These borrowed items are due back in two weeks unless a longer period is requested.
