2011 VIA Youth Art Contest

A. Toler -5th Grade-First Place Winner

"Together We Can Wipe Out Graffiti!" was the theme for this year's VIA Youth Art Contest. Nearly 6,000 posters were entered and, A.Toler, a fifth grader from Lewis Elementary won 1st place out of all the 5th grade entries. His poster will be displayed throughtout the year in VIA's hybrid "Classroom on Wheels" bus. A.Toler will be honored at an awards luncheon and receive a $100.00 savings bond.

Texas Cavaliers Art Contest

I. Lyda -fifth grader

All public elementary school students in San Antonio were eligible to participate.
One finalist was chosen from each of the 10 City Council Districts,
I. Lyda was a finalist and received $1000 to go towards Lewis' art supplies.

Los Leones Student Art Festival
