Outstanding Mentor

Bob Wetesnik has been working with David W. for the last 2 years at Lewis. He is extremely dedicated to David, coming every Tuesday after lunch for an hour to help him with current math skills. David shares his interest in animals and becoming the next Steve Irwin "Crocodile Hunter" with Mr. Wetesnik. David lights up when Mr. Wetesnik knocks on our door for a visit, and Mr. Wetesnik has been extremely instrumental in providing David with valuable one-on-one time reviewing Geometry, Long division and Fraction and Decimal skills that mirror our instruction in the classroom.

NISD's Outstanding Mentor 2008-2009
Bob Wetesnik, VP of Finance at SeaWorld, was named Northside's Outstanding Mentor for mentoring a 4th Grade student at Bob Lewis Elementary.
Northside ISD May 12 celebrated hundreds of campus volunteers and business partners who donate their time and energy to enrich the education of thousands of students.
