In January, the faculty and staff of Lewis Elementary selected Mrs. Lisa Gallego the Bob Lewis Elementary School Teacher of the Year for 2002-2003. Mrs. Gallego is our Math Support Teacher. She works with students in first, second, and third grades to ensure early success in math.

In addition to her position as Math Support Teacher, Mrs. Gallego was the chairperson for the Bob Lewis Family Learning Nights and coordinator for the STEPS summer school program.

Mrs. Gallego and her husband have two children who keep them very busy! Mrs. Gallego enjoys scrapbooking and spending time with her family. Her favorite author/illustrator is Steven Kellogg. His stories and pictures make people laugh and Mrs. Gallego enjoys being entertained by his work.

Before coming to Lewis Elementary, Mrs. Gallego taught at Locke Hill Elementary. She has been a teacher for 15 years.
