NISD Promotion Standards
NISD Promotion Standards
STUDENTS THAT DO NOT PASS THE NISD PROMOTION STANDARDS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR PLACEMENT IN 3RD GRADE OR RETENTION IN 2ND GRADE.
ACADEMIC CLASSES
*70% or higher in Reading and/or Math classes
MATH
*recall addition facts to 18 in 10 minutes or less
*recall subtraction facts to 18 in 10 minutes or less
*use place value to read, write, compare,and order numbers
LANGUAGE ARTS
*second grade writing must receive a score of 2, 3 or 4
