Promotion Standards
NISD Promotion Standards
STUDENTS THAT DO NOT PASS THE NISD PROMOTION STANDARDS WILL BE CONSIDERED FOR PLACEMENT IN 4TH GRADE OR RETENTION IN 3RD GRADE.
ACADEMIC CLASSES
*70% or higher in Reading and/or Math classes
MATH
*recall multiplication facts through tens in 10 minutes or less
*read, write, and describe whole numbers to 999,999
*select and apply the appropriate operation(s) to solve problems using key actions
LANGUAGE ARTS
*third grade writing must receive a score of 3 or 4
