What's Happening
The library is the place to be if you need information or a good book to read.
But, that's not all that goes on in the library. Sometimes there are games
to play, such as Scrabble, chess, Uno and checkers. You might find a puzzle
to work on. Sometimes you might hear a special speaker talk about dinosaurs
or the Civil War. Yodlers could be teaching a song for rodeo week. Authors
and illustrators come to share their books that we like so much to read. There
is always something going on in our library.

In
the off-season Clark High School football and basketball players
volunteer to spend at least an hour a week with a student. They
help with reading and math skills, assist with homework and play
games together, both indoors and out. At the end of the year
the team comes for a final breakfast with their young friends. |
Book Fair
Texas
Public School Week always brings the Scholastic Book Fair to our
school. At this time students may purchase books
for their own libraries or to give for gifts. It is an exciting
time. Funds earned from the Book Fair allow us to have authors
and illustrators visit our school, to purchase more books for the
library, to celebrate AR readers with special awards, to have a
great AR store at the end of the year, and to do a mariad of other
things we couldn't do without the extra funds.
Our faithful moms and dads volunteer to run the fair, selling books, keeping
the shelves supplied and helping students find their selections.
