My name is Stacie Tong and I am the new librarian at Locke Hill Elementary. I formerly taught first and fourth grade for eight years and this is my second year as an elementary school librarian. I received a Bachelor's Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a specialization in Early Childhood from The University of Texas at San Antonio and a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science with a library certification from the University of North Texas. I am truly excited to become a Locke Hill Lion!

I have been married for nine years to my husband James and we do not have any children. However, I am a very proud aunt to a beautiful niece and nephew whose pictures cover my office walls. My hobbies include reading, traveling, playing games, learning about technology, and hopefully one day exercising!

Being a librarian truly is the best job in the world. I look forward to working with the Locke Hill students, staff, and community. Locke Hill houses many terrific resources in its beautiful library, so please make sure to come by check out some wonderful books to read as a family.
