Task 4

In this activity, you will find a partner and compare the way the earth looked throughout time. Pick your partner and complete the steps below. Read all of the steps first, then go back and start the activity.

1	Click on to the following website http://www.scotese.com/earth.htm. Scroll down and look for the links on the left side of the screen.
2	Travel through time by clicking on the different time period links at the left of your screen. The different time periods show what the earth looked like in the far distant past and what it might look like in the future.
3	Choose two time periods and work with your partner to find similarities and differences between them. Record your thoughts on a printed diagram from the Inspiration program - click here to open the diagram and then go to File and Print.
4	Type in the two time periods you chose to compare in the symbols labeled "Time Period". Type in similarities and differences of your time periods in the correct symbols.
