Plumbing/Appliance Shop -- |
The Plumbing shop is responsible for the health and safety of all students and personnel. Among other duties this shop is responsible for all appliances in the classroom, gym, and cafeteria, hot water heaters, boilers, water softeners, fire sprinkler and irrigation systems. Counting approximately 30 employees consisting of appliance, boiler, and plumbing personnel, the plumbing shop keeps a broad range of school district assets functioning. Our well equipped, knowledgeable staff maintains the products and equipment working in the mechanical rooms, kitchens, rest rooms, and athletic fields. Responding to water, gas, heating and air conditioning, irrigation and drain malfunctions. We are on-call 24 hours a day providing students and staff wiith reliable and safe facilities. We coordinate our work with other departments, making repairs as non-intrusive as possible. The plumbers, appliance men, and boiler technicians are an integral part of facilities and opeations of the Northside ISD. Plumbing Manager I have worked for the maintenance department for seven years as a craftsman, three years as plumbing foreman and currently was promoted to Manager. My certifications include medical gas and backflow prevention with training in Microsoft desktop software programs. I've worked for 25 years in the plumbing trade and enjoy the diversity and challenges associated with my job.
