You have entered the Internet Driver's License program Web site! This program was created to help students in 3rd through 5th grade learn how to appropriately use the Internet for school purposes. We teach Internet vocabulary, rules for using the Internet at school, safety tips for communicating on the Internet, parts of the browser, and searching skills. Students who complete this program and pass the test, will earn an Internet Driver's License, giving them more independence for Internet use at school. These students, with permission from their classroom teacher, may use their license to do research in the library or computer lab when they have extra time. Students who do not have their license or are in kindergarten through 2nd grade can only use the Internet in their classroom, with teacher supervision and when their teacher brings the whole class to the computer lab. Students who earn their license enjoy the privilege and freedom it brings them to explore all the educational benefits the Internet has to offer!
