In this course, you will create an original technology lesson to complete with your students this year. You will also practice rating lessons according to the LoTI scale. (Note: Most parts of this course need to be completed on campus because the Content Tip lessons are not available over the Internet.)

The acronym LoTI stands for Levels of Technology Implementation. The LoTI is a technology use profile that was designed by Dr. Chris Moersch to give schools a process by which to assess, measure, and improve technology practices in the classroom. Using the LoTI to evaluate your own technology lessons will help you develop lessons that promote higher level thinking.

You can choose to develop a lesson at a LoTI level 3 or 4. Developing a LoTI level 3 lesson is worth 3 hours of technology staff development. Designing a LoTI level 4 lesson is worth 4 hours of technology staff development.
