Introduction      

  Space Station 2000 is currently under construction and soon to be inhabited.  Thousands of well paying jobs with extra benefits will be available.  Only qualified individuals will be hired and transported to this new galaxy site.

     In order to earn your free pass on the galaxy express, you must be knowledgeable of your chosen career.  You and your co-workers may be among the first group of space travelers to arrive at Space Station 2000!



                      The Task            
     The galaxy express will be boarding passengers soon and then be off to Space Station 2000.   You will be assigned to a career team.  Your team will be able to choose an activity below.  The final product or demonstration will be presented to your classmates.  A rubric (scoring device) will be used to assess the group's final product.
Your choices are:
  • construct a model of a job site and include a report
  • create a career catalogue by answering a series of questions on job interview forms
  • create at least a 4 slide Power Point presentation on a career of your choice 
  • develop a question about careers that you would like to research and present your findings using your choice of graphic organizer
  • create and perform a dramatic presentation
  • select and develop an idea of your own (Get your teacher's okay.)


The Process        

1.  First your teacher will assign you to a team.
2.  Choose a career that will be needed on Space Station 2000.
3.  Locate the information regarding that job from this web quest and other sources such as books, magazines, and 
newspapers.  you may also gather information from interviews and T.V. programs.
4.  Compile the information on your job resume sheet to be placed into your file.
5.  Decide which format you will use to present your information.
