So you've done your time at Alternative School, and the end of a grading period is drawing near. You're getting a little anxious and worried. You hear teachers talking about some sort of criteria list. "Is my name on it?" you wonder. "I've been pretty good, I've done most of the work. There was that one office referral I had for the talking during lunch.... "
Good Attendance
No Major Referrals
Passing Grades in all Classes
Consent of all Teachers and Administration
Simple enough, right? Well, maybe not. The Alternative School is a place of second chances, and some of us learn faster than others. It's hard to change an attitude and an outlook, and we know that. The most important development that we like to see in our students is growth. So maybe if you had a hard time adjusting the first few weeks with us, and perhaps ended up in ISS (In School Suspension) or suspended, that's not too good. But let's say that for the remainder of the time with us you really tried hard to comply with all our rules, we give you credit for that. Keep up the good work and before you know it, you'll be doing the happy dance all the way back to your home campus!
