UniformsThe district has adopted a standardized attire for all students enrolled in the Northside Alternative High School.All students assigned to these campuses will adhere to the standardized attire requirement.

The students standardized attire must be of proper fit (not to exceed one (1) size behond the correct size) and proper appearance (not bagging, sagging, having modifications, etc.) or the student will not be permitted to attend class. No cargo/painter pants, no stretch jeans, no hip hugger jeans, and no zippers/pockets on pant legs. The outermost clothing must be the pants and shirt as noted above. The shirt must be tucked into the pants at all times. No hats, bandanas or other head gear are permitted. All necklaces must be worn inside clothing. No earrings for boys, also no tape on ears and no body rings. Violations of these provisions of the standardized attire will result in confiscation for release to parent or guardian of the inappropriate item(s). Items should be claimed within five (5) school days to insure their safe return. Items left for an extended period of time will be considered abandoned and will be donated to charity. |

Parents will be contacted to provide proper attire should their child arrive at school and not be in compliance with the school's standardized dress code. The above information is subject to change as new trends in gang-related activites or other societal clothing concerns need to be addressed. Final determination of acceptable dress and grooming rests with the principal and cannot be appealed. The above standardized attire replaces the Northside Independent School District's dress code for the duration of student's assignment to the Northside Alternative High school. |
