AN UNSUCCESSFUL DAY IS DEFINED AS:

Any absence = unsuccessful (Except... same day, or return with Dr.'s note, or court note)

3rd Tardy = Unsuccessful day

4th Tardy or more = 1 day each

Suspension = each day suspended is unsuccessful

 

Note - Unsuccessful days include the following:

Absence (unless part day with documented doctor's visit)

Fighting or shoving on campus

Disrespectful to adult

Cursing that is directed to anyone

Passing period violation*

Class disturbance*

Unsuccessful ISS day

Truancy

Excessive "arrival" tardies (after two)

Significantly late (15 minutes) "arrival"

Excessive class tardies **(after two)

Dress code violation w/o same day parent response of student correction

Damage to materials, furniture, or facility

Suspension

Forgetting books/assignment which are not delivered by parents within an hour after notification

Sleeping in class (adminsitration/counselor flexability after investigation)

Refusal to do classwork*

Refusal to obey*

Theft

Cheating

Gambling

Sexual Harassment

Tobacco Violation

Evasion

Gang activity/dress/graffiti/signing

Possession of nuisance item*

Ethnic slurs

Other violations of code as determined by AEP administrative staff

* If written up and sent to office

** Not really a problem, since supervision at passing period elininates tardies

 

In school suspension (ISS) days could be successful days if work is completed and behavior is appropriate. This does not include the first day assigned if the infraction occurred on that day.
