All Pat Neff 6th graders will be pulled out of P.E. for one six
weeks of computer literacy class. Two of our computer whizzes on
campus
are instructing the classes - Mrs. Campbell, GT teacher,
and Mr. Newman, Industrial Tech teacher. The focus of computer
literacy is to prepare students to be more successful in any middle
school class and to better prepare them for high school.
Students are taught various computer applications they will use
throughout their academic careers including Word, Excel, PowerPoint,
and Publisher.
They will also learn Internet research skills that they will use
in almost every class they take. Keyboarding is another important
facet of the class that will definitely help them when they are
typing those fifteen page English papers in high school.
