In this life skills course, students will be provided opportunities to explore family relationships, personal management, and planning for the future. Emphasis is placed on the importance of family. Effective communication skills are also taught helping each student in any class he/she takes. It is important that students know how to get along with others including family members and peers. With the development of communication skills, the student will learn how to make decisions and accept responsibility. Other content addresses child care practices that promote positive development, development of a positive self-image, nutrition, wellness, interior design, sewing, and career options.
