I have been teaching for twenty one
years. I graduated from The University of Texas in 1982 with a Bachelor’s
degree in Health Education. In 1985 I received my teaching certificate
in Health Education and English. My first year of teaching was in
Aransas Pass, Texas. Then I moved to El Paso, Texas, and taught at
El Paso High School for six years. After teaching ESOL in New Mexico
for one year, I returned to Texas and taught English at Canutillo
High School for six years. In 1999 I moved to San Antonio, my hometown,
and have been at Pat Neff for the past seven years. I have two boys
who are in the second and fourth grades. They keep me busy with sports
and school activities, but in my free time I like to garden, cook
and read.
