Each Northside ISD school nominated a Campus Educator of the Year and a First Year Educator of the Year. To start off the high energy evening, the 169 campus educators of the year entered the auditorium parade style and later crossed the stage to receive their awards from Superintendent Dr. John Folks and the Board of Trustees. Each honoree received a certificate and a flower, and each was the guest of honor at the Superintendent’s Reception which followed the stage ceremony.
The highlight of the evening was the announcement of the District Educators of the Year. In addition to receiving their official District awards, the first year awardees received checks for $250 and the veteran teachers and Trinity nominee received $500 checks.
