July exit level TAKS/TAAS retests for non-enrolled students

Dates for the upcoming administration of the Exit level TAKS/TAAS retests are as follows:
Tuesday, July 15
TAKS English Language Arts; TAAS Writing
Wednesday, July 16
TAKS Mathematics; TAAS Mathematics
Thursday, July 17
TAKS Science; TAAS Reading
Friday, July 18
TAKS Social Studies
Out-of-school re-testers can register for the TAKS or TAAS retest online. They can also submit a paper registration form. Registration packets can be picked up at any of our regular high school campuses or at the Testing & Evaluation Department. The registration form must be submitted online or returned in the preaddressed envelope and be received in Austin, Texas, no later than 5 p.m., June 13, 2008.
Students who were enrolled in Northside ISD during the 2007-2008 school year are not considered out-of-school re-testers for this summer administration and do not need to register.
Former students may register to take the test at any of the official testing sites in the state. The official out-of-school testing site for Northside students is the Education Service Center, Region 20. Out-of-school examinees are not tested at any of the regular Northside high school locations. Testing at Region 20 will begin at 8:30 a.m. Examinees are asked to report at 8 a.m. They must have a picture ID with them in order to take the test.
