Almost 2,000 students would be moved to different schools under boundary proposals for two new schools that will open in 2010.
Brennan High School is under construction on Cottonwood Way, outside Loop 1604 and south of Wiseman Boulevard and will relieve overcrowding at Stevens High School. An expected 1,200 students would move from the Stevens zone to the new Brennan zone.
In a boundary change related to the new Brennan zone, some students would be moved from Jay High School to Stevens High School and from Rayburn Middle School to Pease and Vale middle schools.

The School Boundary Advisory Committee, a group of 32 parents representing all the middle school attendance zones, reviewed the proposed boundary for Brennan High School at a public hearing March 16 at Taft High School. The Board of Trustees is scheduled to vote on the proposal March 24.
Under the boundary proposal for "Alamo Ranch" Middle School, 4265 Lone Star Parkway, about 725 students would be moved to relieve overcrowding at Luna and Zachry middle schools.
Some students also would be moved from Vale Middle School to Jordan and Zachry middle schools, from Jordan to Zachry, and from Myers Elementary School to Fernandez Elementary School.

A public hearing to review the proposal is scheduled for 7 p.m. April 6 at Jordan Middle School, 1725 Richland Hills Dr. The Board is scheduled to vote April 28.
