Early voting begins Monday, April 27 for the election of two members to the Northside Board of Trustees. Early voting continues through May 5, and Election Day is May 9.
For a complete schedule of early voting locations and times, please visit the
Bexar County Elections Department web site. All eligible voters can vote at any early voting location throughout the county. However, on Election Day, voters must report to their specific precinct voting site.
In the election for the District 6 seat on the NISD Board of Trustees, the candidates are:
- Randall H. (Randy) Fields, incumbent trustee and financial advisor
- Miguel A. Aguilar, area manager of design engineers
- Lorena Gonzalez, educational consultant
District 7 candidates are:
- Karen Bonaccorso Freeman, incumbent trustee and marketing/public relations director
- Ray Tamayo, teacher
Incumbent Trustee and Board President Katie Reed was the only candidate to file for the District 5 seat. The election for this seat was canceled.
Also on the May ballot are races for mayor and city council in San Antonio, Helotes, Shavano Park and other area municipalities.
