Classes for the 2009-10 school year begin on Monday, Aug. 24.
Northside ISD will welcome about 90,500 students and open four new schools:
Hector Garcia Middle School, and
Hoffmann,
Kuentz, and
Langley elementary schools. In addition,
Construction Careers Academy will open its doors at Warren High School and become NISD's fifth magnet school.

Note: The 2009-10 calendar that was mailed to all homes in July contained an incorrect date for the end of the first nine-week grading period in the second semester. The nine-week period ends March 26.
