The NEF Prize Patrol has been active this year. Below are pictures from their surprise visits in October.

Powell ES
Powell ES had eight NEF Mini-Grant winners. The grants will be funding projects from photojournalism training and a math extension curriculum to a real newsroom field trip for the Powell News Team.

Cody ES
Seven lucky teachers were presented with NEF Grants at Cody ES. Six out the seven grants will help to purchase a variety of math manipulatives for the classrooms. The seventh grant will purchase reusable vinyl smocks for the art class.

Fernandez ES
Teachers at Fernandez ES received a nice surprise when Apple Annie delivered 13 NEF grants to their campus. Grant projects, which included such titles as Geologist at Work, Jazzy Journals, and Taking Hold of Language, brought a total of $5,339 to the campus.
