Mark Wood, a world renowned rock violinist with the Trans-Siberian Orchestra, is bringing his groundbreaking music education program, Electrify Your Strings! (EYS), to Northside ISD for a performance at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 15 in the Marshall High School auditorium.

The Board of Trustees Tuesday night voted unanimously to name the District's next middle school - set to open in August 2013 - after Superintendent John Folks. The Board also voted to name the District's fifth transportation station after former and longtime Transportation Director Mike McClung.
