by NISD Communications Department

June 29, 2007

Students who are not up-to-date with the state mandated immunizations will not be able to start school in Northside School District on the Aug. 27, 2007. Parents should ensure that all shots are taken care of now ... well before the start of school.

"While we do not want any child to miss school," says District Health Services Director Shirley Schreiber, "it is imperative that parents fulfill their responsibility and get their children immunized. It is the law." She adds, "You should do that now and avoid the long lines at doctor's offices and the city health department."

For information about services through the Bexar Metro Health Department and scheduled immunization clinics, please call 207-8750.
