Washington Mutual funds staff development programs

Representatives from Washington Mutual (WAMU) Region 14, presented a check at the Feb. 26 Board meeting for $15,000 to NISD for staff development this summer. The money will be used for technology and bridging the gap for disadvantaged students, and will fund five new NEF teacher grants at the New Teacher Academy. This is the third year for this WAMU grant.
