Registration deadline for Exit level TAKS Test is Jan. 23, 2009

Registration packets for the upcoming administration of the Exit level TAKS/TAAS retests mat be picked up at any high school or the Testing & Evaluation Office.

The registration form must be submitted online or returned in the preaddressed envelope and be received in Austin, Texas, no later than 5 p.m., January 23, 2009.

Test days are:

Tuesday, March 3	TAKS English Language Arts; TAAS Writing
Wednesday, March 4	TAKS Mathematics; TAAS Mathematics
Thursday, March 5	TAKS Science; TAAS Reading
Friday, March 6	TAKS Social Studies

Out-of-school examinees can register for the TAKS or TAAS retest at the Texas Assessment web site. They can also submit a paper registration form.

Former students may register to take the test at any of the testing sites in the state. The official out-of-school testing site for Northside is the Education Service Center, Region 20. Out-of-school examinees will not be tested at any of the regular Northside high school locations. Testing at Region 20 will begin at 8:30 a.m. Examinees are asked to report at 8 a.m. They must have a picture ID with them in order to take the test.
