The O'Connor High School Marching Band was selected as one of the top 32 bands to perform in the Class 5A Texas State Marching Contest. O'Connor High School qualified for this event by receiving a Division I Superior rating at Regional Marching Contest and then being selected as one of the top six bands competing in a field of 42 bands at the Area Marching Contest. Their show was entitled "Things that Go Pop," a spoof on "Pop Goes The Weasel." Representatives of the marching band include:
