Texas Association of Future Educators students from Stevens High School placed first in the state with their community service project.  The name of their project was "The Gift of Giving," and students collecting toys for children in Child Protective Services.

TAFE is an organization that offers students the opportunity to explore the teaching profession. Students cultivate the qualities of character, service, and leadership, which are essential to good teachers through workshops, contests, and camps. Students learn education and certification requirements along with first hand experiences in working with children.
