NISD Health Advisory Council honored

Northside ISD is one of five school districts in the state to be chosen as a recipient of the 2008-09 Award of Excellence for local School Health Advisory Councils. This award, given by the Southern Collaborative on Obesity Reduction Efforts team members and state leaders, highlights districts that have shown excellence and effectiveness in their work. Linda Seewald, Director of Health & Physical Education, and Julie Eversole, parent volunteer, are the co-chairs of NISD's School Health Advisory Council.
