Attendance is taken at 9:00 a.m. Students will be counted absent if they are not in school at that time.
A child may be excused for temporary absence for visits to health care professionals if the child returns to school on the same day of the appointment. A note from the health care professional must be brought into the office when the parent signs in the child. The child will then be counted as present for the day

| A written dated excuse needs to be sent with your child when he/she returns to school. If the school does not receive a written note stating the reason for the absence, the absence will be considered unexcused. Please see the District Student Parent Handbook for Attendance Guidelines. |

| Tardies & Late Arrivals |
| Students are tardy after 7:45 a.m. Tardy students must have a note stating the reason for tardiness. All students who arrive after 7:45 a.m. must be signed in at the front office by their parents. Please do not send tardy students into school by themselves. |

| Excessive Absences / Tardies |
| If a child has excessive tardies and /or absences, their records will be reviewed by an attendance committee and parents will be contacted. If excessive tardies and /or absences continue, the student will be referred to the District Attendance Officer. |
