Welcome to the Northwest Crossing Library!
We are open from 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. everyday
that school is in session.  We have a large collection
of materials for our students, staff and parents to
use and enjoy.  Northwest Crossing's 19,000+ item
collection includes books, CD-ROMs, cassettes and
videotapes. Our library catalog is fully computerized,
and is available to students on 8 computers in the library.
NWC is also fortunate to have a media broadcast system,
which enables a single video to be shown to any number
of classroom televisions simultaneously. The media
braodcast system is also used to  broadcast morning
announcements and to air special programs directly to
the classrooms.  Our library is truly a learning center
packed with exciting materials for our students  Our
goal is to encourage students to become lifelong
readers and lovers of books. Our program strives to
teach students to become independent, competent
users of the materials contained in the collection.

All books may be checked out for a two week period.
If they are not finished with the book at the end of the week,
they may ask to renew the book for another week.. Students
in Second through Fifth Grade may have two books checked
out to their account at a time.  First Graders and
Kindergartners may have one book checked out to their
account at a time.  Parents are welcome to become library
users and may check out five  items at a time.  Most
non-print items are checked out only to adults.

From time to time, the library closes early due to staff
meetings or staff development classes.  If you are
planning to make a special trip to visit our library after
3:00 , please feel free to call the library and check the
schedule for the day.
