Texas
Beyond History - This "virtual museum" showcases information
and images about Texas cultural heritage-over 13,000 years of human
history-from Clovis mammoth hunters to cotton farmers. It presents
in-depth articles, human-interest stories, photographs, and artwork,
using a variety of creative resources including map tools, kids
activities, an illustrated glossary, and teachers' lesson plans
based on TEKS, TAAS, and TAKS objectives. Created by the Texas Archeological
Research Laboratory (TARL) at the University of Texas at Austin
and the Texas Archeological Society.
