Freshmen begin with Ag-science 101 and 102.
  • Ag. Science 101- Introduction to World Agricultural Science and Technology.
  • Ag. Science 102 - Applied Agricultural Science and Technology.
Ag. Science 221-Intro to Ag. Mechanics
Ag. Science 222- Home Maintenance
Ag. Science 241- Food Technology
  • Includes the study of world food production, nutrition, government regulations and career opportunities.
Ag. Science 261- Introduction to Horticulture Science
  • Introduces students to Horticulture technical skills, entrepreneurship and occupational opportunities.
Ag. Science 361- Landscape Design, Construction, and Maintenance
  • Landscape Design, Construction, and Maintenance is a technical course that prepares students to design, construct, and maintain landscape areas for the beautification of home grounds and other areas of human habitation and recreation. Instruction emphasizes the design process, client interview and site analysis, landscape design principles and plan preparation, and the selection of plants and landscape structures.
Ag. Science 311- Agribusiness Management and Marketing
  • This is a technical course designed to introduce and enhance knowledge of economic systems, budgeting record keeping, marketing and business law. Computer use is high in this class.
Ag. Science 312- Personal Skill Development
  • This course teaches students in the area of leadership, human relations, career development, communication skills and team training.
Ag. Science 332- Animal Science
  • The study of animal health, nutrition, genetics, livestock judging and management.
Ag. Science 334- Equine Science
  • An introduction to horse science, this class includes the study of horse ownership, selection as well as nutrition, health and breeding procedures.
Ag. Science 363- Floral Design and Interior Landscape
  • This course includes flower identification, design principles, flower cutting and corsages and business ownership.
Ag. Science 365- Advanced Floral Design
  • Advanced Floral Design is a technical course that examines floral design and its relation to contemporary designs, business practices, specialty items, creativity, and careers in the floral industry. Major areas of emphasis in this course include the design and construction of wedding and sympathy arrangements, arrangements for holidays and special occasions, and contemporary and artistic interpretation designs.
Ag. Science 381- Wildlife Management
  • Topics covered in this course are wildlife and fish management, laws concerning wildlife and conservation. This class includes hunter education and certification which includes hunting and fishing techniques.
