Texas Bluebonnet Book Selection

Each year the students of Texas in grades 3-6 read from a selection of 20 books to decide which book is their favorite.  The voting is in January, and the state winner is announced shortly thereafter.  To qualify only to vote, a student must read at least 5 of the nominated books.  Mrs. Fowler encourages students to read at least 10 of the nominated books to know which is really their favorite and to be eligible to attend the Bluebonnet Blast.  NOT EVERY BOOK IS OF INTEREST to all children or to all grade levels, and for this reason, we are not asking or expecting students to read all 20 nominated books.  We want students to read books which interest them.
