The Northside HERO Club is an exclusive member-only organization, endorsed by NISD Superintendent Dr. John M. Folks and open to all Northside non-campus based employees. The primary purpose of the group is to provide mentors for Northside students. There are NO member fees, just the donation of your time. A secondary purpose of the club is to have FUN!

Member Benefits

• Spend 30 minutes to an hour once a week, during office hours, with a student and talk about anything and everything.
• Brush up on your math and reading skills through the club's official handbook: "One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish".
• Cool member only t-shirt that is dress code approved to wear when you mentor.
• Frequent incentives exclusive to members only.

How To Be A Mentor

• Fill out the HERO Application Form completely.
• Send application via PONY to Norma Rabago, Partnerships Office.
• We will assign you to a school unless you indicate a school preference.

When To Mentor

• In the morning before coming to work.
• During lunch.
• After school.
• Our goal is to be flexible and accomodate your schedule.
