Alvarado’s mosaics grace more than a dozen bridges along downtown San Antonio’s famed Riverwalk. He is one of the founders of First Friday in the King William district and is two-time chairman of Art-in-the-Hood, a Southtown Urban Main Street initiative (San Antonio). Alvarado creates colorful whimsical larger-than-life sculptures and murals in his South Presa studio, The Studio at PW-16. He is a featured artist in the PBS-TV series, Modern Masters, and works on commissions all over the country.
